1986 EZ GO starter/gen belt adjustment
Hello, My starter/generator belt is slipping when I hit the gas on my 1986 EZ GO 2 cycle. Is there an adjustment or do I slide the motor forward as I have read on newer models? Should I also replace the belt? Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: 1986 EZ GO starter/gen belt adjustment
it very easy to adjust the starter/generator belt, there is a adjustment shaft on the back side of the s/g, it will take a 9/16" wrench, lossen the bottom nut and tighten the top nut untill the belt has about a 1/4" to a 1/2" play, that should do ya well.
