sounds like you found the problem install new diode board -then take inexpensive 20 amp fuse temporaly install were 50 was if charger work,s install new fuse 50 amp should be it dont think the board fried but that,s the only other part left besides transformer wich rarely burn up i fix about a dozen chargers a week good luck any problem,s drop me a line glad to assist ya

Replace the fuse and the diode assembly. All works great!

Wizzard, in the beginning of this thread we were told that the diodes did NOTHING and I wondered why they were there if that was true? Now we find out the replacing the burnt up diodes and fuse fixes the charger ..... Can you tell us what the diodes do in the charger? And what causes them to burn up?

I think the diodes convert AC to DC current..not quite sure...

A "diode" blocks power from passing in one direction while allowing power to pass the other direction.

A "diode bridge" converts AC to DC. (A diode bridge consists of 4 diodes.)

The diodes keep the AC electric out of the DC side so it want burn up the batteries and other DC parts.
I haven't seen a charger yet that had diodes taken out and still working.
