-- What was the measurement of the springs you took out-- and can you give us a measurement of the new springs-- and a measurement of how much room you have to fit the new springs in,--- how much do you think they have to be compressed,1" or ? --- we can get this to work

I'am Chilling---

Called Jakes and they said they would NOT fit on the G9. They do have a heavy duty shock\spring setup but they are 260.00 a pair. Not sure what i'm going to do.

Here's the deal:

Our Part# 6280 is a set of heavy-duty coils made to fit on the stock G14/16/19/20/22/29 shocks.

The coils will NOT fit the stock G2/8/9 shocks. The stock shocks are too short. Heavy-duty springs for these models must be purchased as an assemble item on new shocks.

Hope this helps clear things up.

I just talked to another vendor that says they will work and have been done multiple times before. Some sites even state that they will fit. Sounds like Jakes needs to clear things up with their vendors. Any reason why they dont make any for the G9?

We have NEVER told a dealer our heavy-duty springs will fit on a G2/9. There are "other" kits out there that advertise fitting all models. We do not make these nor do we advertise our kits fit all models. I don't see a spring that fits all models will work the same on all carts when the G2/9 shock is 1" shorter than the G16.

Get a set of G-16 shocks and put the HD springs on them. Will be less than inch longer.

I took springs and G9 shocks to powersports dealer and they put the springs on for me. Appear to be ok but not sure how stiff they will be.
