I'll bump this up by stating you haven't given us much info to go on. How much oil did you put in at the last change. What mods have you done recently to cause a change, like a lift kit? A 2000 with normal use is probably ready for the top end done, but give us a little more to go on....

Re: g16 2000 blue smoke from engine
I would start the cheap way and drain oil and replace with quality 10W-30, one quart! and see if the situation improves after driving a bit. I say this because an overfill can cause this condition, and you can't change the oil too frequently. This will give you a base line to go on.

That's no fun Flint I was already to reply on the float being stuck (gas in oil) or colapsed oil rings....Hope it was just overfilled of oil.

Re: g16 2000 blue smoke from engine
Yeah when these get a lot of hours on them often the oil ring goes away and they start burning oil, smoking. They still run fine, and will foul the plug. But lot of hours, I just had a G9 from 1991 bite it that way and it was driven a lot, he even wore holes in the clutches last year I rebuilt them with new sheaves. A 2K cart would really have to be run a pile of hours to be worn out already, but then again I'm in north country and most carts here sit still all winter. Too much oil will do it, in the older carts it fills the airbox with oil and trashes the filter. My cart loses power when it gets hot its not far off, but it does not burn a drop of the synthetic oil in it.
