Default My G1 "limited edition"

I don't have any pics of the cart before I started but it was the standard '82 G1. So far I chopped the bumper, dropped the front of the roof and added front supports to it, I cut the front cowling down and added some lights, I built a platform in the back and added a rear seat for the kids. This is our campground ride. I have had alot of fun messing around with it so far. Started the lift tonight.

The cart runs pretty good. A little old lady owned it since it was new 29 years ago until last fall when see traded it in on a brand new one, I bought it from the dealer for use at the campground. This whole Mod thing started as a joke with some of my fellow campground buddies, a couple guys bought nice newer G22 and started talking about lifting them up and adding radios, well I gave them a hard time that I was going to out do them, the whole time thinking I wasn't going to put a penny in this old cart. I added the seat and platform to it for the kids and had fun welding them up (I am new to the welding thing, actually borrowed my dads little wire feed cheapo) while one thing lead to another and then I found this site. My buddies wife refers to this site as Golf cart Porn as he also looks at all the time. Well after seeing all the neat ideas and awesome fab work you guys do it inspired me to give it a try and so far it has been fun. I will post more pics as I get more done.

Looking good! Yeah these things are addicting. I keep telling myself this is the last thing I'm doing to mine and I just can't keep my hands off of it! Very cool story about you buying that off of the original owner too.
