Re: My G1 "limited edition"
Nerf bars are nice, good ideal...What kind of carpet did you use? Looks like the kind you can buy at the parts store or Walmart in the rolls? It is one cool looking cart....Thanks for sharing...

Re: My G1 "limited edition"
I purchased it at Menards (home improvement store) it is automotive carpet. I considered diamond plate until I checked the cost, the carpet was only .$55 a sq ft which cost me $12.00 total and I have enough left to cover an overhead stereo enclosure.

Re: My G1 "limited edition"
Great project, I like the nerf bars too. I got some spray bedliner at walmart here a couple years ago, but different stores might carry different stuff. Wait until you find all those cheap LED on ebay lol.

Re: My G1 "limited edition"
Yeah Tonka, [I] used the aeresol bed liner for all the black on my cart. It looks more like a wrinkle finish than bedliner, at least the stuff from walmart does.

Re: My G1 "limited edition"
I will look at the can later but if I remember the stuff I used was Dupli-color, it has a rubberized feel to it and is more durable than paint but it is not as thick as the roll on bedliner. The direction call for it to be sprayed 4 to 6 inch away from the surface you are coating and I used four to five coats, I have used this stuff for other projects and it works well for the money.

Re: My G1 "limited edition"
3M makes a good under coating also. We used it for our cars back in the day when we would tub the rear and spray the 3M coating on the bottom to keep the rocks from making too much noise when it hit the sheet metal. Held up good too.
