77, pull the fuel line off at the carb. and turn the motor with the starter. If fuel pumps out, hold your thumb over the end to see if it has a bit of pressure to it. If you think there is 3 lbs. pressure, its probably not vapor lock.

Have you checked fuel filter in tank?

yes i checked it too it did it today after a very short ride. it still has spark i checked that but no fuel in the inline fuel filter i took the gas cap off and blew into the tank and it fired right back up i'm not sure but i think the gas cap is the problem I don't think it is letting the tank breath like it should I am going to replace all the fuel lines and the gas cap and see what happens from there

Could be a gas cap problem, but I think you have a fuel pump vacuum problem. Replace vacuum lines. Gas lines also. Their cheap!

Not sure about a G16 but my G8 has a filter built into the fuel line where it attaches to the gas tank. That filter may be plugged. Someone on here will know.

Please use punctuation, when your typing about something technical, people need to understand exactly what your saying.

There are two parts to the ignition on the 16-22 one is the ignition relay and the other is the coil. Which one do I need to replace? Thanks again
