Yamaha Rear End G1, G2, G9

Does anyone know if a G1 rear end is the same or at least has the same internals as a G2 and G9 Rear end? I have also been told that there is another brand other than Yamaha that uses the same rear end as a G2. thanks!

They are different and bolt up different. Hyundia made a cart that was similar to the G9. I'm not sure what will or would if any interchange mechanically.

G1 rear end is forward only, no reverse. G2 & G9 have forward and reverse.

Are the G2 and G9 different? There is very little different with them except the compression and some paint details, the rocker and steering column are black on G9s...and the trim on the rocker and top of front cubby is different. The G2 has higher compression.

Pretty sure the transaxles in the G2 and G9 are identicle. One big difference in a G2 and G9 is the G2 has a rev limiter.

Doh! I forgot that one. The crank trigger could be different too not sure there is a thread here about swapping a G2 over to G9 ignitor to get rid of the rev limit and it tells what to do.
