Wink Re: Scottyb's Carts Digital Battery Meter

Good for the person with a shaky hand. I got mine in before I started drinking.

I'm thinking this should be the first mod to my cart.
Thanks in advance.
It is simple. Find a place that you can get to the back of the meter. The clip to hold the meter is bigger that the meter. The wiring is 2 steps. one wire goes from the + of the meter to the red + of the first battery. The other wire goes from the - of the meter to the - of the last battery.
Scotty sends a diagram and instructions.
have fun and be safe

Thanks scottyb!!

I purchased your meter and successfully installed.
This forum was a major asset to researching install advice.

I absolutely love this meter!......the only problem is... it shows me how weak my batteries are.

Next mod will be converter & lights.......OH and new batteries.

Installing the meter just got easier....
anybody who has cut the hole for the meter into a finished surface has lamented the very small lip on the meter face.... one slip ~ one goof up ~ and the meter won't cover the mistake..

This is the sweet setup I got.

The 79.3 is 72 volt so yours will read different

@Scottyb

One question about these new faceplates for the meter . . . how do they mount to dash? I see no evidence of screw holes and no mention in the ad . . .

The back-clip supplied with the meter holds it in. You still need to cut a semi- accurate hole, but now you have some room to fudge it a bit.
