I tried to stop hard and definitely felt it pull to the left/drivers side though.

Guess I need to order a replacement cable and get this thing working as it should. Hoping I can get this cable put on without too much trouble.

Appreciate the help and information so much, no way I would have got this thing fixed without your assistance!

Thank you!
You need to order both cables. The new cables are a little different configuration where they attach to the equalizer. They are about half an inch longer. If you don't change them both you'll be in the same boat you're in now.

We hammer on a half inch deep well socket. Comes right off with one pull after you hammer it on.

Have just fitted the cable upgrade using a 13mm deep socket, also works like a dream, no cussing and all done in no time. Tks for the tip

This is going to save me a bunch of time. I'm maintaining fleet of 50 '08 Electric Precedents and absolutely despise the brake cables & replacement thereof.

I am having a similar problem. My brake cable on the passenger side is attached, but barely moves when the brake is depressed, the drivers side is very tight though.
