while a hd belt will work a 272 does have its own specific belt. it is a bit shorter than a standard hd cogged belt. that one is a bit shorter than the smothe belt a ds would come with.

I have NO idea where the cartpartsplus belt falls along those lines. It will fit i'm sure. the cogs help them to grab when wet or muddy.

No problem, I'm glad to help when I can.

I haven't personally used it as my gas cart has a locked up engine, but I have ridden in my uncle's neighbor's Club Car DS this past summer that has that same belt on it. The belt never slipped once and we were riding through mud and a shallow creek, splashing water everywhere.

From what he told me about it, the belt was a little shorter and "kinda grabby" until it broke in, but he will not use any other belt on his cart now. He ordered it from Cart Parts Plus and said the belt was at his door within a week.

I will say this though, he told me when we were talking about his cart that before he changed to the heavy duty belt he was thinking of going with a bigger motor because it just didn't seem to have enough power to go over obstacles when riding in the woods or going up hills, but he is now happy with the performance of the stock motor and isn't going to change anything.
