Default Advice on Painting

Da Boss wants her buggy with a custom paint job. I did a web search and found a set of instructions referring to urathane paint. If I do a surface prep by roughing (sanding) the stock 2003 Club Car DS, and follow their line of primer/base paint/clear coat, is that the way to go?

I have a HVLP system.

Tanks in advance!

Flex adhesive primers and flex additive in the paint. A lot like painting plastic bumper covers on cars

Do you guys and gals think that it would be better to remove the cowl and body from the cart for painting? Most instructions talk about masking, but I wonder if it would be better just to remove the parts to be painted and then reinstall.

Thanks!

John

Thanks for the advice! I looked at your thread and I see your point. I will pull the body and cowling and do it right.
