Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
Are any suspension components interchangeable? '97 gas CC DS and an electric CC. I have the '97 gas, and can get a RHOX lift for an electric CC cheap. Go or no go?

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
I would think it should be the same. My allsports lift is advertised to fit 82 to 03.5 electric and 97 to 03.5 gas carts

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
Thank you 4vertical, I think I'll remove the front suspension and start measuring, and check steering geometry. Worst case, there will be a lift for sale for an electric CC ! Also, I like your avatar. I run old Fords myself.

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
The front suspensions of a ds cart are the same. The diff is in how the rear axle attaches

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
Electric CC carts have a little stiffer spring to offset the weight of the batteries. That's front and back.

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
So I looked up the part # at RHOX, it's for a Precedent. What are the differences? It actually looks similar, just the steering attatchment looks different. Can I weld my arms onto the spindles and be done or is there more to it? Not afraid of fabrication, but also don't want to spend a ton of time modifiying this when I can buy a bolt on kit.

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
Precedents are totally different than DS carts. The rear springs are shorter there is nothing the same on the front end.

Re: Gas / Electric suspension compatibility
Thanks for the info, after looking at the big "Made In China" sticker on the box and seeing that there are companies with USA made parts, I think I'll go that route. I'll be asking more questions I'm sure, and there will be some custom stuff done to this rig that I'll be sharing. First golf cart project, should be fun.
