Re: Motor cables
I do have a question though. If my motor is out can I just leave my dcs controller in tow mode and reconnect batteries to charge? They were at 48.6 volts on Thursday when motor fried and I would like to get them back into shape until new motor arrives.

Hang the motor cables so they don't touch each other or anything else, just to be on the safe side. Hopefully, you are lucky. I smoked my DCX400 when I exploded my stock motor. |

Re: Motor cables
Ok, well Scotty got me a new D&d torque motor # 502. Reprogrammed to field map 51.
Installed my new limited slip kit and test drove. Torque is so much better, actually climbing hills there is no way I should even try........ but then a knock knock knock sound from rear end. Disassembled and found that when I reinstalled the roll pin that holds the diff gear lock pin I pushed it too far through and it had slid out and contacting ring gear. Some teeth were chewed..... put it back together and now get a pinion type sound and gear click/moan/knock. Oh well time to install a rear end!!!!!!!!! Like has been said before sometimes learning is expensive :) |
