EQUUS 8068 Tach Problem
Just hooked up the equus 8068 tach to my 2009 Club Car Precedent Gas and no luck showing any RPM's. The back light works and whenever power is applied (turn key on) the tach moves up to 8 then back down to 0 like it is suppose to.
I have set it up correctly following the directions exactly and am using the inductive pick up on the spark plug wire for the signal. I have read a few forums and someone said to change out the spark plug to a non resistor type and also wrap the spark plug wire with aluminum foil where the inductive clamp goes around the wire. I have done both but no luck showing the RPMs. It will occasionally work for about 2 seconds then fall back off to 0. Has anyone got this tach working on their Precedent? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |
