2009 RXV will not move
My 09 RXV locked up, tow mode would not work, batteries are fully charged.
swapped in working brake still no go. On the working cart solenoid clicks and you can hear/feel brake working and there is 22 volts on the small black wire on solenoid, on my cart solenoid clicks but nothing happening at the brake and 48 volts on the small black wire. Swapped my defective? brake onto working cart seemed to work for a bit and then had same problem as my cart. I have swapped in brake pedal assy throttle assy, solenoid does not fix the problem. Are there fuses anywhere? Any help would be appreciated |

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
go to the main negative pack wire at the controller and disconnect the "extra, 10 gauge" small black wire from the negative terminal at the controller and try it again, if that makes it go, then the "resistor control module" is bad (little square "thing" just above the controller on the heatsink is bad). Getting strange readings at the "gauge" on the dash?

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
Removed black wire as suggested and no change, no strange readings from dash voltage gauge. Does not seem to be sending signal from controller to motor/brake.

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
If it detects a problem, it will not disengage brake. Brake is controlled by motor controller, with a disconnect switch at the brake pedal. Did you check grey switch at brake pedal, will require floor mat removal. Switch should show connection at all times, until pedal is pressed far enough to hit switch, then no connection (interrupts power to hold brake open).

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
I have swapped in a working brake pedal c/w switches and no change.
When i removed the drakes from both carts and turned the key the working carts motor turns slightly and stops on my cart no movement at all. Is the motor controller and speed controller the same thing? thanks for your assistance |

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
Yes, same thing. The motor movement you describe is normal, the controller is applying torque to the parking brake to verify it doesnt slip. Check out thread "rxv error codes danaher controllers". It has tons of specs for you to test, and info for you to learn about your system.

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
I have a 2008 RXV w/same problem, but I *do* have strange voltage readings at the keyswitch (I have a digital volt meter installed) - 24-27 volts. Also brake lights are stuck on, oddly. I get a click at the solenoid when turning to F or R, but cart will not move. Any help would be really appreciated.

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
does cart roll with key in "off " Position?
does motor try to move cart? tow mode(SWITCH) not working-- locked up/Failed parking brake common use care swapping brakes. over tightening causes problems Swapped brake to working cart-- problem "Moved" to new cart ---bad brake is solenoid original(small) bad solenoid will not provide power to release good brake you placed on cart. does parking brake(on Motor) have release lever? if so suspect as bad brake lights stuck on-- pull "UP" on brake pedal - weak or mis adjusted pedal return spring on older carts - common. |

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
Hello everyone, brought cart to dealer I was told needs new motor and brake assembly at around $2100.00 to repair. Only paid $2000.00 for the whole cart two years ago!
Where would a person begin to look for used parts for this cart. |

Re: 2009 RXV will not move
Rip off alert...
Motors are A.C. motors... RARELY GIVE PROBLEMS PLEASE TRY MY TROUBLESHOOTING... 1) Put cart in "RUN" 2) try to push cart ... if cart moves "Rolls" replace "PARKING/EMERGENCY BRAKE" (@$200.00) RXV's WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH FAILED PARKING BRAKE. ALL problems you describe point to PARKING/EMERGENCY brake NOT MOTOR or controller. Taking brake off cart should DISABLE CART (even if it is still plugged in) |
