Default Not close to my owners manual..is the

Rear gears in a 02 Ds CC -have a drain plug for the oil?. in the center section? I notice a relative whine in the gears.That said.........seems, like they do alittle of this whining of gears anyway? Or....do i need to check the oil ?, and would it be 85-90 wt.If so used?thanks again for any help bob s

It takes 30 weight oil, someone recently posted a thread about this. There is both a fill and a drain plug.

Remove the fill plug first, just to make sure you can get it loose. If you drain the rear end first and can't get the fill plug off - you are in deep do-do.

30 W royal purple to refill.

Anything but deep do do.
There is a bit of a whir so to speak though ....am i right?

BTW where does one pickup royal purple? motor oil.......additive or engine oil ....what????

I think it has to be ordered on Amazon.
BTW, a slight whine is normal while driving.

I've been buying Royal Purple motor oil at O'Reilly's auto parts. Straight 30W.

Sometime they have it in stock, sometimes they have to order it. Make sure they don't try & add shipping costs if they order it.

Well mine got- valvoline instead. The o'reileys in my town, store still has A large dirt moving shovel--- digging the basement , so no royal purple til next time. and btw Thanks Jake bob s
