Club car top speed doesn't seem right
I have a 2003 club car ds 48v. Batteries less than a year old. New controller at 500amps ( I know amps is not speed) 2ga cables. 1000amp solenoid . Heavy duty f&r switch. 19" tires my top speed is only 10mph. The manual says factory should be 12-15. What should I check to find the problem or is this all I'll ever have.

Re: Club car top speed doesn't seem right
does it go faster in reverse? That is definitely not right. Could be programming as well

No I was say it's a normal reverse speed. It's not faster than forward

Re: Club car top speed doesn't seem right
What is the battery pack voltage 12 hours after the charge has ended? And what is the battery pack voltage reading while you are going this blazing 9-10 mph?

Re: Club car top speed doesn't seem right
I see You could tape the voltmeter test leads to the mains and put the meter on the seat so you could read it at a glance when it's safe to do so.

Sounds like a plan I'll try it when I get a chance.

02 club car ds series cart with 1 yr old batteries, 6" lift, 23" tires, 500 amp controller. Upgraded solenoid and wires. My max speed was 12.
A Beast motor changed that to 22mph. |

That's the motor I am planning on upgrading to soon. I just order a 6" lift. I heard that it wouldn't fit unless you had at least 3" lift for motor. I don't know if that was true but the lift was on the plans anyways
