Batteries are not coming up high enough to shut the charger off. It needs to see the pack reach 58-63 volts before shutting off. let it run for 12 hours. If it doesn't get to shut off voltage these batteries may be toast? |

Somethings not right? Batteries extremely dead or ...... Do you have 6/6v batteries, a 36v charger ? Do you have 2008 Club Car?

Re: 48v club car charger
2008 club car, voltage was 36 volts and charger was off or at 0 amps, 48 volt battery 4 batteries 12 volts each, batteries were down for awhile, had less than 7 volts, had to charge with my auto charger to bring up to or above 10 volts then used the club car charger, but wont go to 50 volts.

Water level good in the batteries? They are probably shot but you can do a few cycles of driving, charging, driving, charging etc and see if it brings them back. My batteries weren't nearly as dead as yours but it helped them none the less...

Any luck? Like Scotty said you pack showing in the 30s after charger shuts off is not good. What is the voltage when the charger is on? Could be the charger...

Re: 48v club car charger
its a club car ds IQ 2008, water good checked volts after charger shut down 40 volts,
charger goes to 15 amps drops to 5 amps after awhile then goes to 0 amps and measures 40 volts after charge, thinking charger? when it hits 5 amps that's as far as it goes, havn't seen it drop to 0 but when I check on the charger after awhile it is reading 0, and 44 +or - a couple of volts total across the 4 batteries. |

Re: 48v club car charger
A photo of Barrett area would be helpful to see if we can spot anything.
