Re: Need more speed!!!
Don't think you can find any OEM or after market controllers/motors on RXV line in the near future as it is a very new product and technology no one else uses other than EZGO.
The VFD (variable frequency drive) controller/inverter and motor are custom built for the RXV. Until the other cart manufactures follow the lead of EZGO and start using AC motors/drives the OEM's will follow. For now it is too much of a niche or non-profitable biz with no demand to justify design and production cost. |

Re: Need more speed!!!
You shouldn't replace the motor or controller because the RXV has an AC motor and controller. We just got one of those in at work the other day and it does 19-20mph. I was told that at the factory they got one to go 45-50mph with a certain program code that only the manufacturer has and won't release. So if only you knew one of the people there and they could give you it but they probably still wouldn't. Just wait a while, maybe it will get leaked out some how and that would be awesome if it did.

Re: Need more speed!!!
I used the guy at www.golfcartoutfitters.com to get more speed on my Precedent. They were real helpful and had great prices. They did some research on what I was wanting and called me back the next day.

Re: Need more speed!!!
Having a 2009 Fleet RXV, I would also like to get my hands on the codes. In a similar quest for speed, I changed the gears to a 8:1 ratio. This is a major job requiring taking out rear axle/motor gearbox out and replacing 2 gears. You actually need to remove a gear on the intermediate shaft (using a hydraulic press) and place it in your new one. Gears are expensive (some aftermarket gears available (from East Coast carts (so far working well))) and the job requires good mechanical ability. My Fleet RXV went from 16 to 24 MPH. Having the codes I can probably get to over 30, but at 24 the cart is dangerous. When braking (no brakes on wheels-rather only on motor) back wheels can lock easily when wet. You can loose control and slide and roll over. ( I must admit I have tires inflated high). Hope this helps. Please post codes if you obtain!
