Re: '00 EZ Go - Battery or solenoid
Your charger will not do the break-in for you.
The chart is for broken in batteries so not completely accurate for new batteries. Check your settled pack voltage before you drive? call that 100% & then you can adjust the draw down scale to 75-80% of that. The percentages given in the break-in procedure are merely chosen to show the intent of the process. Those percentages can vary, the idea is not to draw the pack down heavily. I ask my customers to play half as much golf as they normally would for the first 10 to 20 charge cycles. That's the idea. |

Re: '00 EZ Go - Battery or solenoid
Thanks all for the replies. Scottyb, thanks for the info. What I've been doing is leaving it on the charger while I'm at work and then drive it around for a bit when I get home (about a mile or so).
Has anyone decided for sure what kind of cart it is PDS vs DCS? |

Re: '00 EZ Go - Battery or solenoid
Will do...what exactly am I looking for? In one of my previous posts I stated it has a Manufacturer # of A100, toggle switch (I don't believe it states run/tow on it, but I assume that is what it is - meaning it runs in one position and doesn't in the other) on black controller box, and F/R switch by the drivers right knee.

Re: '00 EZ Go - Battery or solenoid
DCS controller has a 10 pin connector on the top of it.
PDS will have the plug in on the side or face of it. |

For the love of God man, doug is nearly in critical condition waiting to find out whether your cart is a PDS or DCS.

Re: '00 EZ Go - Battery or solenoid
Doug just called... He died. You waited too long to get back with that information. He took it well and said he'll be waiting for your answer about the controller in the afterlife and that he wishes you the best in your battery situation.
