cart wont go. need help.
So I got the rear end of my cart put back together and lifted. The front is not yet 100% but i wanted to see if it would move under its own power. I put it in revers and pulled it out of the garage, put it in forward and it tried to move, I could feel it kinda lung forward but wouldn't go anywhere. I started looking at the controller, the batteries and the F&R. I found a black wire hanging down from the F&R. Can someone tell me what this wire is and if it would affect moving forward. If it wont affect moving forward can some one point me in the direction of what to start checking? almost forgot, its a 1994 ezgo marathon 36 volt.

Re: cart wont go. need help.
The wire is the back up beeper.
The reason it won't move is probably the batteries are low. Post up the individual battery voltages so we can help. |

Re: cart wont go. need help.
you also have to understand that it is easier for the cart to go in reverse than go forward. It takes more battery amps for the cart to be pushed forward
With the weather getting cooler battery charge is a must. |

Re: cart wont go. need help.
I didn't get the reading off the batteries last night. Had to work late. I'll get it tonight. What should the voltage be on the individual batteries and on the entire pack?

I was able to get the voltage off the batteries last night. I don't think it looks so good. I drew it out so that you can see what I have and where. The voltage readings are after letting it sit for a few days with out being plugged into the charger. I am going to plug it in and see if they charge and if the voltage changes after that. battery pack voltage.jpg |
