36 vs 48 volt
Aside from longer running time and the ability to add accessories any big differences?? I'm looking for a 6 passenger but haven't had much luck finding a 48 vt project cart. There are plenty of 36 volt but I'd like longer running time especially with a bigger cart

Re: 36 vs 48 volt
I can not find alot of information to support the longer run time claim. 8 volt batteries are typically 165 to 190 amp hour capacity while a 6v is 200-225 amp hours; clearly an increase in amperage capacity.
Any 36 volt cart can be boosted to 48v with a few changes. |

Re: 36 vs 48 volt
I guess it would depend on the cart then too. I have seen 48 volt carts with 8 6 volt batteries or 6 8 volt batteries. So if you had a 36 volt with top line batteries you could be better off than a 48 volt with cheap batteries I guess

Re: 36 vs 48 volt
You are guessing right. The more lead you carry the more amperage you can store. My vote would be for a 36v cart on 8/6v 48v power.

Re: 36 vs 48 volt
I'm looking forward to it as soon as I choose the cart. Toying with a junk club car behind the local dealer but it's been outside awhile and it looks it. Gonna keep On looking

Re: 36 vs 48 volt
I saw one like that on eBay last month. It had so many extras I'm sure it needed the extra juice
