Default EZ Go Rear Clunk - What to do?

Could anybody give me an idea as to what may cause a rear end clunk sound on my EZ Go Electric? This usually happens when starting off or turning, but not always. What should I do about it? Thanks so much for any reply.

  • Start by checking that the wheels are on tight.
  • Check that the bolts holding the springs to the axle are tight.
  • It also could be the axle to brake drum spline jumping, make sure the castle nut has at least 90 lbs of torque.

Thanks. I'll check it out. Where would I find the castle nut?

The castle nuts are what holds the brake drums to the axles on the rear. Remove the cotter pin and re torque like Doug said...
