Gas or Electric
Right now I have an 02.5 gas TXT with the standard Robin engin in it. I got it last summer as a project and it has been fun fixing it and getting it to run. Recently I have been thinking about selling it and looking for an electric TXT. Before I got one last summer I have never owned a golf cart and didn't know much about them. My main goal was to fix one up with my son so we could drive around the block with it for fun. I also wanted to lift it some so we could take it out on some trails in the mountains of Colorado where we live. My question is.....do the electric carts give you the same amount of horse power and tourqe as the gas? What kind of modifications can you make to an electric TXT to give it more speed and power? Thanks for your help guys!

Re: Gas or Electric
Ray we have our first cart which is stock electric. If you buy an electric one do not pay more than you can sell it for in a quick sell.
Maybe I should explain. Electric is what we wanted in case we tow behind the MH to parks and for the kids to use. It is my gut feeling after the power/freedom of gas an electric will not match what you have come to expect. |
