Re: loaded in pickup
Looks like my setup except my truck is screaming yellow
I have to remove my gate as well but would anyhow because I don't trust the straps on the gate. If I need it I just throw it in the camper for the ride. This setup will not work for a workhorse however, too long by close to a foot. We did build a bed extension for a buddy of mine once, 4 X 8 sheet of wood cut to length with block spacers that sat on the rear bumper. Held it in place with his gooseneck hitch security hoops. And nice rig btw .. |

Re: loaded in pickup
That's awesome, was wondering how I could manage to get the rv and golf cart down to the coast or wherever for that matter. I would have the same issue, no clearance after putting the cart in and tailgate down.

Re: loaded in pickup
Before I lifted my cart I had to take the cover off the propane bottles or the foot rest would destroy it in a turn. Got a newer truck and different camper so no issues now.

Re: loaded in pickup
Its scary w/out a lift kit in the cart. No brakes unloading because the brake linkage bottoms out, so no brakes

Re: loaded in pickup
LOL my buddy has a golfcart (some polish knock off) that is so weak he has to go back 10yards and gun it just to make it almost and I mean almost up the ramps! We have to push it a little to get it in.

Re: loaded in pickup
When unloading (on grass or dirt) I put the ramps in place & then just push the cart out. NO DRIVER
The spring shackles dig into the dirt & slow it down so I dont have to chase it. |

Re: loaded in pickup
This was not easy. The cart barely cleared the tongue jack.
