1994 DS Electric Club Car wont go
Hello all,
I am new to this forum so I apologize for my ignorance in advance. I am working on a 1994 Club Car DS 36 volt Cart. It will not go forward or backwards. The solenoid clicks, but nothing happens. I have replace all of the batteries, cables, 3 micro switches and the solenoid . I now have 36 volts going trough the system just no movement. I have also wired the electric motor manually and it worked so I know it's not the motor. I'm leaning to the glide switch but I am not sure if that is the right thing to do. Any help would be appreciated Thanks JAKE |

I doubt that the V-glide is bad. You can test it by taking the black wire and the white wire off the small tabs on the controller and connect the meter to them. You should read 0 ohms (pedal up) and close to 5k ohms (pedal down).

Also, make sure the Controller terminal #1 (red wire) gets +48v when You hear the solenoid click.

Re: 1994 DS Electric Club Car wont go
OP said it's a 36v. cart, so expect 36v. at terminal #1.
Also check for pack voltage on the large solenoid post (yellow cable) when the pedal is depressed with the REAR TIRES OFF THE GROUND. Just because the solenoid clicks doesn't mean it's connecting internally. PS- Take a look at the "Sticky-Tech notes. Inside the solenoid" listed at the top of this section to see if it might apply to the solenoid you replaced. . Last edited by tag50; 04-06-2016 at 12:54 PM.. Reason: PS added |
