Default 48v Club Car no reverse

Year 2000 DS, 48V and reverse suddenly stopped working. Buzzer works, and when I press on the pedal, I hear what sounds like a solenoid clicking. Sound like anything obvious to anyone? FWIW I was going down a driveway. Stopped, put in reverse when it quit going backwards. Thanks

Can you ID the drive system?

From your picture it looks like a "series" system (one on the left). Thanks for the reply.

Probably the FNR switch.

Solenoid clicks so the micro switches are ok but it could be the high amperage cables no longer making good contact inside the switch.

By this you mean the thicker cables? (6 ga I believe)

Again, I was going down a steep grade, braked to a stop and slid selector into reverse -- rear wheels "skidded" in reverse. Then it would no longer work in reverse.

Never shift to reverse while going forward. If you don't have a HD F&R now might be a good time to get one and try it.
