Try to get a shot today, but installed. The bottom line is, when the cam rotates, it's supposed to stop (hit the base) at a point where the cam contacts are in perfect alignment with the main contacts. In my case, the cam rotates too far (clockwise and anti-clockwise) so the cam contacts pass those optimum spots.

If I rotate the cam less than full rotation, the contacts line up.

If the problem is over rotation of the center cam then you could build up the stop to stop the cam where it is aligned.

Yes, I shimmed the stop area on both sides and all's well. Not a cheaply produced device, weirdly just badly designed. Wasn't off by much, but a miss is a miss. Thanks for the help.
