correct way to wire 36 to 12 volt converter?
Hello,
First post here. 1987 club car DS. Want to install convertor to hook up lights. So, is it as simple as the positive from the convertor to #1 positive battery and black to #6 negative? Or do I need a switch to disable convertor when cart is not in use? thanks, Kevin |

DO not leave the converter powered up all the time. Get a converter with an on/off switch leg or wire in a relay to handle the duties.

What Scotty said. The easiest one to hook up has a built in on/off wire. Otherwise you got to purchase a 36v relay. Not hard, but having it all built in is definitely easier and cleaner to install.
ScottyB sells them over at carts unlimited if it's not too late to take yours back BTW - welcome to BGW! ...Tools ...Toys (same thing) :) |
