48v 97 club car goes full power??? New guy help
Hi group I've just finished restoring a 97 club car. New batteries & cables. My problem is as soon as I press the gas pedal the cart goes full throttle. I'm talking bark the rear tires. I've looked all over and can't find an answer. Or I may not be searching the right way. Please help

It is most likely a problem with the throttle.
If You have a Multi-Step potentiometer (VGlide Box), it can be a bad resistor or a disconnected wire. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...car_ds_48v.jpgMake sure the purple wire is connected to Controller B-. If it is, disconnect the Yellow wire from Controller Terminal #3. Set Your meter to 20vDC and measure the voltage from the Yellow wire to Controller B-. The voltage should start at 0v and climb to 5v+ as you press the pedal. |

Are You saying that You replaced the Multi-Step potentiometer (VGlide) body but re-used all of the resistors from the old unit?
if so, make sure You put all of the wires in the correct place, specifically the wire on post #3: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac..._resistors.jpg |

Yes sir that is correct. The wires are wired exactly that Waylon the diagram you supplied. I also replaced the micro switches on the back of the forward reverse switch.
