97 club car resistor broke
Just got a electric 36 volt 97 club car with broken resistor coil, my question can I weld it back together,or shorten it and rebolt it down,or splice it back together with clamp? It is the smaller in diameter one....thks

Re: 97 club car resistor broke
Shortening it will mess with the resistance value and jack up your low speed since it is the small one. Clamping it will likely make it burn out around the clamp. Not sure on welding, but it's doubtful.
Best bet is to just replace it. |
