2005 Precedent Light Kit
OK thanks to all for the help with the new smart charger, bypassing the obc and speed magnet!!!! Now I would like to know what type of light kit to install. I have seen what appears to be an easy to install light kit front and back tail lights. this is a 48V with 4 - 12V batts. from what I have read this does not require a volt converter and can use the wiring installed, I don't recall seeing a "blue" wire from the positive connector though. Thanks for all the continued help!

Re: 2005 Precedent Light Kit
Buy the apprpriate Kit for your year model and make.
2008.5 and below has an ever so slightly different set up. You can I beleive buy a 2008.5 and UP kit and use a voltage reducer connected to entire pack with the outgoing voltage wired into the light harness blue and black wires. I believe the older kits run straight off the first battery in the series. Not optimal if you are looking for even drain across the pack. That said, buy LED. Get the LED FRONT AND REAR set up. Less draw on battery pack and will not steal juice from motor etc when on. Not to mention they are brighter. |
