Steve and Gator, where did you get the dash? Does it simply bolt over the existing concave dash in the DS?

Yes . . you remove the faceplate where current keyswitch is mounted and mount new dash . . steering wheel removal is necessary . . I did it when I had the front cowl off, making installation a little easier for me, anyways . . ordered mine from gulfcoastgolfcarts.com . . . don't think they are a site sponsor (don't remember), but it is a common dash kit that one of the sponsors would carry . .

Re: Well, 36v to 48 volt conversion coming soon now
well, completed stage 1....the tear down.... amazing what you find....I was wondering why the backup buzzer wasn't working...well since the new one they put in is 24 volts and wired as 36....fried..Then instead of removing the old one they zip tied it to the rail. I will have to make battery pans now since the supports are now shot...I can tell the lighting kit wasn't wired correctly since they used diapers to splice all the wires and grounded each light to the frame. So, it seems I have my work cut out...There went just doing the conversion and driving it the next day. One good thing is once I am done all the wiring and electronics will be brand new.w00t
I will post pictures a little later Any ideas on a place to install a 12v fuse terminal. I want to install 2 terminal strips to wire in all 12v accesories. |
