IMO, drop axle. Spindle lift has a lot of torque 6 inches or so from the pivot. Also widens the turning radius. Fellow carter in Aiken

i'm wanting to do the exact same thing on my 07 TXT, asked about it in another post, but with alot of other topics, I guess it got lost there, so I'm interested to hear some opinions, would also like to know about the Jakes long travel, thats what I think I'd really like, I read that ScottyB says he thinks the spindle lift from Jakes is real tough.

I have a 2007 txt and had a 6" all sports drop axle for the 2 years and it was tuff and stable. I have a friend with Jakes spindle and its beefy and he likes the ride. We don't go off rode, strictly street beach runners. I put a Jakes long travel on 2 months ago, it is the best along with the disc brakes, superior smooth ride and steering is real tight. The front is 1.5 in wider on each side and I love the look. I don't think you can go wrong with anything from Jakes or All sports gear, there both equal in quality. Its personnel preference IMO. Have to change my avatar.

My brother has the Jakes spindle lit on hit txt and it appears to be a good lift and I am sure it is but you asked for an opinion.

I do know that it changed hit turning radius big time. My F250 crew cab will turn around in a smaller circle. Jakes said it was a "safety" thing. A few modifications to the axle and it turns normal now.

As for long travel lifts, I have one on my project cart but have never ridden in it

Yes it is. Be careful though, kid in the candy store thing.

I was going down there today for a couple sets of tires but didn't make it. Not a real flashy place but lots of stuff and they move some inventory.

Also IMO and I will shut up.. I would stay away from the 4-5+ lifts that just use longer shackles in the rear.. Lift blocks for me

I agree on the shackles, they increase sway. The biggest factor on lift-kits(besides price)is this. What are you doing with the cart?If you are bombing around your property, and just need it lifted to fit bigger tires,go with an Econo-Lift,If you are pounding the life out of it Off-Road,go with the Drop-Axle or a Long-Travel.For a Street,Beach,or occasional off-roader,the spindle-lift or the Econo-Lift will be fine.I wouldn't recommend severe off-road abuse on the spindles, since the leverage is increased at the axle so much,I can just see the axle bending.I built my Drop-Axle out of my stock axle, sleeved it on the drops to beef it up a little, and I've been smashing into trees on the trail to jump them for 5yrs.now,and I just started to tweak it a little(believe me,I hit them hard and often!!!)Hope this helps.
