Default resistor on 1204 curtis controller ???

There was some kind of a resistor on my 1204 curtis controller that broke off, but the cart still runs. It was located on the back two terminals on the controller and it was yellow and about the size of a penny. Not sure what the purpose of it is, and where I can get a replacement one. ???

Even more humorous is the fact they really aren't needed in this application.

They are surge proctors and far more at home in AC line powered applications.
