Default EZGO windshield cleaning

OK guys,
I'm finally getting to work on my new purchase

It had the for sale sign taped on the windshield and when it was pulled off it left lots of glue on it. Is it ok to use Goof Off or Goo Gone to get the tape off? If not, what is the best method to remove the glue off the windshield?

Also, it needs a good bath. What is recommended once it's clean to shine her up? Automotive products?

Thanks as always

Jimmy

I used WD40 to remove adhesive. Polished the minor scratches off with meguires plastic polish

The Owner's manual may have something about routine cleaning of the windshield and body, but I'm not sure.

Whenever I need to use an untested solvent or cleaner on something, I try and do a test on an inconspicuous place.

The WD40 and pledge is not taking the OLD DRIED ADHESIVE off the windshield.
There must have been something stuck on there and removed without cleaning.

Any ideas?

Or if anyone knows what kind of plastic it is, it would be easy to Google suitable solvents.

Google "golf cart windshield material", and click on the first link which starts, "All about golf cart windshields".

What about alcohol? It works on acrylic, maybe it would work here?

I know mine is polycarbonate, but mine's one piece - no hinge.
