Interesting, mine didn't have a gasket. The Dana manuals I have found didn't specify a gasket either. They specify RTV sealer. I used the blue RTV and let it sit for almost an hour before bolting back on. The only torque specs I was able to find where 16-24 ft lb for 2008 and newer and 18-28 ft lb for 88-95. I would use either of these but the point is to not wrench these bolts as tight as you can get them. Use a cross pattern like you do with wheel lugs.
