Yes. I had amps set at 400. At the time I had RPM set a bit high at 5000. The stock motor overheated big time.

I had heard about 500a being too much for the stock motor, I hadn't heard of anybody cooking the Hitachi motor at 400 amps. Were you doing alot of downhill runs, using a lot of regen? What did Alltrax have to say about your experience?

No I wasn't doing any downhill runs. Just level ground. Replaced the motor with D&D and that motor is running fine - not overheating at all.

I also am very concerned regarding the motor lugs. Was very concerned tightening them as they moved and twisted while was doing it.

Contact ScottyB of Carts Unlimited for price and availability information. Scotty assembles a nice turn-key kit consisting of controller, solenoid, wires, and voltage meter. You can source these items elsewhere as well...
