It would be helpful if you can take pictures of what you have connected to the new VGlide showing the wire colors.

We can then tell you how to test the signal without having to disassemble it.

I assume you have a multi-meter that can be used to measure resistance.

Key Switch OFF

FNR in Neutral

Set You meter to resistance (ohms) test.

Set range to 20k.

Disconnect the Black and the White wires from the VGlide.

Place your meter probes on the two disconnected bullet connectors on the VGlide (black and the white wires).

Notice the resistance, it should say 0L on your meter which indicates an Open Line or infinite resistance.

Slowly press the pedal until you hear the micro-switch in the VGlide "click".

The meter reading should change to 0 (no L) indicating zero ohms before the micro-switch "clicks".

Keep pressing the pedal and see if the resistance increases until it is around 5,000 ohms (5K).

Please post your results including the maximum resistance reached.

with the key off and in nuetral i have the following readings:
before the accelerator is pressed: 0.5 ohms
after micro switch inside vglide is heard: .454K ohms
accelerator fully depressed 4.9K Ohms

i never got and OL reading on my meter as soon as i touched the wires with the probes it went straight to .5 ohms

That is good, those values are correct and indicate the extra "wire" between posts #2 and #3 was added inside the VGlide.

Connect those two wires back to the Vglide.

Keep Key Switch OFF and FNR in Neutral.

Go to the Controller and disconnect the quick connectors from Terminal #2 and #3.

Measure the resistance with the meter probes connected to the two disconnected quick terminal wires to make sure you get the same results as the first test.

If You do, put the FNR in Forward (keep key switch OFF) and test it again to make sure the results did not change (This is to verify there is not a wiring issue with the FNR micro-switches).

Is that the same Controller You had before?

It is almost like the Controller is not configured for the same throttle type.

Make sure the FNR did not get wired to Controller B- by mistake.

Do You have the wire diagram for your cart?

Edit:
I found my hi-res copy, make sure the Motor, Controller and FNR wiring match:

so on my particular car i have i do not have an A2 spot on the controller so the #6 white wire coming from the F/R switch goes straight to the A2 spot on the motor but everything else on it matches perfectly to the wiring diagram

Are You sure your old VGlide did not have an extra wire (purple perhaps)?

While the A2 terminal on the Controller is not required, that 0-5k short lived throttle was only used on that OEM Controller.

If the existing Controller had been changed in the past perhaps your old VGLide had been converted to a 3-wire or to a 2-wire 5k-0.

If You still have the old VGlide take the back panel off and look at which posts the wires were connected.
