Re: RoyPow problems
Didn't you say Roypow was going to take a look at it? Are responding to you? Doesn't seem to me you should have to buy anything extra, they just need to replace your meter, correct? Isn't that what you had decided was the problem? Please keep us updated on Roypow's response and how you are satisfied.

Re: RoyPow problems
I understand. Keep us posted, all of us with Roypow's want to know how their service is, as well as any problems that may show up with these. If you have the problem, I may have it also, sooner or later.

Re: RoyPow problems
What was the final solution to this? Did they take care of you?

Re: RoyPow problems
Bama Brad, have same cart as you, how is your current RoyPow setup working. What are you running off your two 6-volts.

Re: RoyPow problems
I ran the wench, front drive & lights off the 2-6volt batteries. Couldn't find a voltage reducer strong enough to run the wench. I love the Roypow, amazing how much more "pep" it gave me.

Re: RoyPow problems
Been awhile since I updated this. RoyPow sent me a new battery meter and I had the same problem. Meter showed full pack discharge in a matter of minutes, but pack still had full charge. Installed a Renogy coulomb meter with a shunt resistor and ditched the RoyPow meter. I’ve had zero issue since I did that, but I do keep a higher charge on the pack which will probably shorten the overall life of the pack, but I feel that is a better option than replacing a $2000 battery pack at this point. The Renogy meter provides much more data than the stock RoyPow meter and was fairly straight forward to install.
I used to play 2+ rounds of golf on a charge and drain the pack down to 25% or so before recharging. Now I charge after every round with the meter showing 65-75% remaining. I like the RoyPow but it is NOT a good solution for the Club Car DS mainly because it does not fit in the battery bay without modifying the battery case and cart frame (mine is squeezed in which makes the posts and on/off switch difficult to access). |

Re: RoyPow problems
I d like to know what has transpired. I have the RoyPow 36V in my EZGO TXT. So far no issues. Charger connector is wired directly to the cell pack.
I'm curious if you had any positive results from Prime Golf Cars? |
