Club Car Ds IQ shorted motor terminal no reverse

Good afternoon I am a new member. I just purchased a 2005 club car DSIQ. Just put new batteries in it and it took off great and immediately slowed down. I read about the speed sensor and I placed an order for one.
While taking the sensor off I did not disconnect the battery or put it in tow mode.
If I searched the site first I would’ve known better.
So I can move forward, slowly, when in reverse it beeps and the relay clicks but no motion.
Is there any fuse or is it definitely my controller?.
Any help would be very much appreciated thank you

If I disconnect the negative lead and put in tow turn it off and reconnect the lead, I have full power forward as long as I do not push the pedal to the floor
