Default HD Rear Leaf Spring

Hey guys, I just finished installing new HD rear springs. There is literally NO movement what so ever. I still have the body off doing a bunch of other work on it, so I haven't driven it yet. I can tell now its gonna be a rough ride.. Whats up with that? Am I missing something here??

Heck, might as well just weld the axle straight up to the frame...

I put HD springs on one of my carts a couple of years ago and it surely felt that way. It still has a terrible ride, and probably will for years. I just tolerate it.

I had to replace them on my other cart last week, but I had read on this forum that the dual action springs were much better than the HD, so I used those instead. They are much better than the HD and produced an excellent ride. Thanks to all those who recommended them. If you haven't used the HD, maybe you can swap them out.

Remove the shortest leaf on each side.....so you end up with a two leaf spring.

When I went from FLA Batt's to lithium, my 4 leaf per side springs were like riding a hardtail. I removed two leafs on each side and my kidney's still send me thank you cards!

I replaced H D springs with duel action springs.
Best ride upgrade I ever did. Good stock ride with one or two people in cart. Extra leaf picks up extra weight when having rear seat passengers so ride height remains the same as does ride.
HD springs are for when cart will always be loaded to max limit where they as designed to operate.
