36 to 48 volt help
I know I will get a lot of subjective answers on this, but what kind of performance improvement will I gain by going from 36 - 48 volt system. I am going to need to change the batteries next year and am going to upgrade then. Just wanted to know if the extra cost was worth it...
I have and 01 ezgo PDS. Alltrax 500 amp controller and 502:1 dd motor. 5inch lift running 22inch tires... |

Re: 36 to 48 volt help
Call D&D and ask them about that motor's expected performance on 48v and what they recommend controller and contactor wise They will know!
Basically you will get a 25 - 30% increase. You sold me your stock 36v PDS motor. We put it in a build with a 350amp alltrax 48v system and the stock cart goes 20mph and has alot of torque. Nothing crazy but NICE. Hope this helps |

Re: 36 to 48 volt help
I am glad it worked out for you. My cart runs really well and squawks the tire on demand. When I requested all of the parts I got everything big enough to handle 48 volts. I have a really big solenoid and am running 4 and 2 guage cables. Just wondering if it is worth the trouble. I don't mind the cost, just don't want it to be a total waste of funds$$$

Re: 36 to 48 volt help
I have not yet put a battery guage on, but what should be the run time for a 36 volt system with that config? It seems to run a good while, but I am not sure what to expect.
