Default Solenoid Question

Within a week or so, I will be upgrading my 05 TXT Series cart by adding a 700A controller from Logisystems and jumping my voltage to 48. While I'm planning on running my stock motor for the time being, I may upgrade to a more powerful motor in the future if I still need more performance.

Question... what type of solenoid will handle my current upgrades AND would also handle a motor upgrade in the future. Just don't want to waste money. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the input... also believe I'm going to go with a delta q charger for the new 48v system (onboard or external- not sure). Good thing?

adding that much power to a stock won't be good IMO. It wont last very long. you will also need to upgrade to atleast 4ga cables it not go to 2 ga.

just get a 400amp 48V solenoid and you are set. Don' forget about upgrading your f-n-r switch to handle teh extra current

Already have 2 ga wires... first I've heard about another f-n-r switch though. Thanks for the advice. Went with PPG's advice and got a Tyco contactor.
