97 non-DCS TXT cart won't co

My 97 TXT, non-DCS, EZ-go golf cart will not go. The major wiring is correct based on diagrams I've found on this site. The motor tested good by wiring it up directly with no controller or throttle. The solenoid tests good and cycles when the throttle is depressed. I installed a new controller and it still won't go. Any suggestions on what might be wrong would be great. The forward/reverse switch had been wired up wrong 'D' and 'A' terminals switched. It currently has a black wire from the harness going to a tab on the backside of one of the micro-switches on the F/R switch. This tab doesn't seem to be in any type of circuit. Is this correct? What could be the problem?

Sounds like you might well have a wiring issue since solenoid and controller and motor are good? Did you check all three micro switches for continuity? Did you find the wiring diagram for your SERIES cart in the Stickies at the top of this section? There are complete diagnostics in there also

Thanks, the tech manual was very helpful. Don't be fooled by a clicking solenoid. Mine seemed fine but turned out to be bad.

That can happen ....... It is not very common but, it does happen. Are you up and running then?

Waiting on a solenoid. I couldn't find one locally.
