Default G16 Full Throttle Bog??

Ok, I have a 2000 G16 and here is the issue Im hoping someone can help with.

If you feather the throttle it will run ok but if you floor it, full throttle, it bogs out totally. BUT, if you hold the choke out it runs like a champ!

What I have done:
Removed the carb and disassembled twice.
Cleaned all ports and parts, didnt see anything odd, no buildup or grim.
Removed fuel pump and disassembled.
Cleaned everything and pump looks as good as new and seems not to be the issue.

It seems to be getting plenty of fuel, bowl is full and when using choke the cart runs fine. It seems to be an air issue.??... Its not the air filter. I have removed the original air box and replaced with an after market filter that doesnt use the box. It has the same issue with the original air box, new filter, or no filter at all.

THOUGHTS??

Thanks!

G19A is an electric cart. You probably have a G14 or G16. If you go with an after market air filter, I think you will have to re-jet the carb. I've read enough here to know that air leaks in the OEM air box will cause the problems you have. I'm sure one of the experts will be along soon.

Sorry, wrong cart.... It is a 2000 G16.

The issue Im speaking of happened with the original airbox, the new after market filter, and with no filter at all....

Thanks!

it means you have too mutch air for fuel ratio

you need more fuel its starving

could be cloged fuel filter, dirty pump, clean the carburator is always a good start

while you have it off have a look at the intake spacer & gasket if there not craked , normaly on G16 & newer its not an issue like the olser models

I had a similar problem and the gaskets were hard and did not seal well. I made some new ones and it fixed my problem

you need to figure out where the excess of air is getting in

you could also have an air box not sealing properly

when you cleaned the carb did you use presurised air in all the passaged

sometimes a tiny little peace of dirt could be cloged in there

Dogpile, like EzgoKilla said....You need a "BIGGER" main jet. More air, you need more fuel. Most companies that sell aftermarket air filters sell them as a kit. Good luck with your build
