Re: wont start
Amazing it even ran at all, huh? That thing is gonna run smooth when you get it finished. Keep me posted on how your overhaul goes, I am going to bring mine home tomorrow night and start the overhaul. Looking forward to your progress.

Re: wont start
Make sure you only use anaerobic sealer on the crankcase halves it's critical or you'll have a problem.....

Re: wont start
you can find the sealer (gray) that is impervious to gas at carquest. permatex i believe. also if the main bearings are same as on a 3pg and i think they are (#6206), they are quite common and can be found at most bearingshops for a lot cheaper than from cart dealer. just a thought

Re: wont start
Go to your local Carquest, O'Reilly etc and ask red anerobic sealer, that is what is used to seal case halves that have no pre-cut gasket.

Re: wont start
I work at autozone and I get a discount, so that works for me. May be a while before I can get the engine back together. My son crashed my truck and totaled it out, so now I need to replace it. As soon as I get the money, I will be back at it.

Re: wont start
He skid off the road and took out a power pole. Part of the pole caved in the passenger side of the cab. Almost got him, he was shook up but not hurt. The truck can be replaced but the boy cannot, so all is good.

WOW, been there done that! used Subaru for the ol' lady and it lasted 5 days before the boy plowed into a tree, RIGHT IN FRONT OF WHERE I WORK! that was quite an evening, all good with him also, was the first on the scene and i seen the little boy i love come out, heartbreaking when they go through something like that. you can talk to them till your blue in the face, they still will do what they do.
