Is the solenoid resistor required?
I have an 06 PDS, Alltrax 500amp contoller (set at 80%), HD 36v solenoid, stock motor.
Is the reistor (the one between the big posts) that was on the solenoid required? Mine had one but my Dad cut it off while putting the new HD solonoid on. Just want to know if I need to get another one before I go down there in a couple of weeks. What about the diode (one between little posts)? Mine didn't have one of these on the old solenoid. Thanks Ricky |

I wouldn't run without them. Someone will chime in to fill in the blanks , i can't remember the particulars. Mike

Re: Is the solenoid resistor required?
I asked the same question a while back and was told it is a good idea. I took my old ones to a electronics shop and it was about $4 to replace both of mine....figured $4 was worth not thinking about it or wondering...
