how do i unhook the 1/2 reverse on a marathon

I think it always the 4th pin
1st pin positive power
2nd & 3rd = throttle input
4th is half wit reverse

I thought it was, but I do not have a manual for a marathon, so I searched it out, best I could help him with.

Marathon carts controlled Half speed reverse via the PB-16 pot box. There is a set of wires running from the pot box to the F&R assembly. In order to disable the half speed reverse, simply unplug the 2 wires from the micro on the F&R (hint, it should be the "double" micro).

there is a resistor inside the PB-16 that cuts the output in half when the circuit is closed on the F&R micro. Similar to the resistor located in line to the F&R of a 48 volt club car that has a V-Glide.

Funny side note.....

In the thread Mark posted, the issue they were all having is that the controller they were attempting to use was designed for the ITS throttle system, not the PB-16 system they were attempting to use it on.
